PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a component wire disconnection inspecting device of an elevator wire rope, preventing a strand breakage accident due to rope component strand disconnection, by inspecting a component strand disconnection state of the elevator wire rope previously. SOLUTION: A detecting means 11 is provided which detects whether the predetermined number of wear legs of a predetermined size and a predetermined length exists in the component wire within a predetermined range or not from an image signal 9a and an elevator car position signal 10a imaged over a predetermined lifting stroke of the elevator wire rope, and judges that rope replacement is necessary when it is determined that the predetermined number of wear legs of the predetermined size and the predetermined length exists in the component wire within the predetermined range.
