To achieve a wireless IC device and an electronic device in which a dedicated antenna is not provided, which can be miniaturized, and in which an impedance is easily matched. The wireless IC device comprises a wireless IC chip (5) for processing transmission and reception signals, a printed-wiring circuit board (20) on which the wireless IC chip (5) is mounted, an electrode (21) formed on the circuit board (20), and a loop-like electrode (22) which is electrically conducted to the wireless IC chip (5) and which is formed on the circuit board (20) so that the loop-like electrode is electromagnetically connected with the electrode (21). The electrode (21) is connected with the wireless IC chip (5) via the loop-like electrode (22), and sends and receives a high frequency signal. A power supply circuit board comprising a resonant circuit and/or a matching circuit may be interposed between the wireless IC chip (5) and the loop-like electrode (22).
