Metal plate transportation method and the system thereof are provided to control the current amount supplied to each electromagnet. A metal plate transportation system comprises a freight part(11) which lifts the metal plate by taking advantage of the magnetic force and a controller(21) controlling the freight part. The freight part includes an electromagnet part(112) pulling the metal plate and a sensor unit(113) which collects necessary data to determine the number of metal plate which the electromagnet part pulls. The controller includes a storage(211) which the information about the electromagnet part and metal plate is stored, an input unit(212) which the information selecting the metal plate which the electromagnet part has to pull is input, a current output unit(214) producing the current amount supplied to the electromagnet part, a power control unit(215) controlling the power supply unit, a coefficient output unit(213) producing the number of metal plate which the electromagnet part pulls, a current cut-off section(216) blocking current for the predetermined designated time.
