PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication device which is capable of improving real time responsiveness, by reducing the amount of overhead in control communication. SOLUTION: The communication device is a slave station, having a control object apparatus connected thereto or is a master station controlling the control object apparatus by communicating with a slave station and includes a parameter-holding part (12) which holds communication parameters regulated, in advance, according to the operation states which the control object apparatus may take; and a transmitting part (11) and a receiving part (13) which specify the operation state of the control object apparatus, on the basis of contents of preceding communication with a counter communication device and communicate with the counter communication device with a communication parameter, corresponding to the specified operation state.
