PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk apparatus capable of efficiently capturing the dust in a housing and preventing the turbulence of air. SOLUTION: The disk drive unit comprises: the housing which comprises a base and a cover; the disk which is rotatably mounted within the housing; a sheet-like filter which is a filter for filtering the dust from the fluid air within the housing and comprises a front surface facing the cover and a rear surface facing the base; and a filter fixing section which is so fixed as to bring the end of the front surface of the filter into contact with the cover and to bring the end of the rear surface into contact with the base, and makes the air within the housing be circulated by forcing the fluid air generated by rotation of the disk to move in the vertical direction toward the front surface from the rear surface of the filter.
