PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting agent supplying apparatus in a machine tool, wherein a passage resistance is reduced, and the tools are changed without damaging a mist supply pipe. SOLUTION: The machine tool is configured so as to have: a spindle head 1; a main spindle 2 rotatably supported by the spindle head 1; and a tool 5 attached to the tip end portion of the main spindle 2, and so as to supply the mistlike cutting agent produced by mixing cutting oil and compressed air toward the machining point of the machining tool 5. In the cutting agent supplying apparatus 9 in the machine tool, a mixing valve 17 for producing the mistlike cutting agent is arranged on the base end side of the main spindle 2, and a mist supplying pipe 14 is connected to the mixing valve 17, and the mist supplying pipe 14 is elongated toward the tool 5 side passing through the central portion of the main spindle 2, and a mist supplying pipe advancing/retracting drive mechanism 20 is provided so as to advance and retracts the mist supplying pipe 14.
