<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device which can aim at effectively enhancement in consciousness to resident's energy saving and fixing of effort in evocation, while suppressing cost of device. <P>SOLUTION: The switching device 10 comprises a switching body 2 attached in inside of a wall surface 1 of a house, a switching part 3 which performs turning on electricity to a lighting device 40, or shutoff, an electric power measuring part 4 which measures the electric power supplied to the lighting device 40 through the switching part 3, a control operation part 5 which computes a power consumption quantity from the electric power measured by the electric power measuring part 4, and a display part 6 which displays the power consumption quantity computed by the control operation part 5.
