PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for controlling a light amount while maintaining an image quality. SOLUTION: An optical scanning device contains a light source, a spinning multiple mirror, a corrected data calculation part, a correction operating part and an adjustment part. The adjustment part makes the corrected data calculation part calculate the corrected data when the first mode among two or more modes is applied while adjusting a drive current applied to the light source using the corrected data calculated. On the other hand, when the second mode among two or more modes is supplied, the adjustment part makes the correction operating part calculates the corrected data while adjusting the drive current supplied to the light source using the corrected data calculated.
