PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-contamination prevention device of a simple structure capable of preventing fluid, flowing in a flow passage wherein a level difference is included in its flowing process, from being contaminated by air regardless of variation in a flow rate. SOLUTION: The air-contamination prevention device 10 is provided with a plurality of ropes vertically hanged from a shaft upper end 41 to a water surface 42 in a shaft 40. The ropes contact with mountain stream water which flows down from an end part 32 of a mountain stream water intake passage and starts to fall in a vertical direction and introduce it down the ropes to the water surface 42.
