An exhaust purifying member (31) is located in an exhaust passage (26) of an internal combustion engine (1). A temperature sensor (33) detects the temperature of exhaust gas at an exit of the exhaust purifying member. A diagnosis means diagnoses the state of clogging of the exhaust purifying member based on an exhaust temperature that is detected by the temperature sensor when the additive is supplied to the exhaust purifying member.
