Trephine for the creation of a borehole in bone tissue, with a first part designed as a holding part (10) and a second part designed as a drill bit (12), the latter being detachably connected to the holding part by means of a coupling device. The coupling device features a shaft (22) that is rotation symmetrical primarily to the drill axis (14) on one of its two parts, and a sleeve (38) that is rotation symmetrical primarily to the drill axis with a central borehole complementary to the shaft on the other of the two parts, into which the shaft can be inserted, and also a safety device to prevent a relative movement in the rotational- and axial direction between the holding part and the drill bit, in such a way that the shaft engages in the central borehole in the coupled state, with the drill bit secured on the holding part. The trephine also has at least one locking element (26, 28) on one of the two parts and one corresponding recess (64, 66) on the other of the two parts provided for the positive-fit connection and securing of the holding part and the drill bit to prevent a relative movement in the longitudinal direction. The invention is characterized in that the safety device features at least one safety element (54) that prevents sterilization of the drill bit and therefore its repeated use. |
