As an apparatus to lock a steering wheel of steer by wire system, a locker is removed of lock with magnetic means. It is locked with elastic means. The alignment of the wheel and the steering wheel is maintained. An apparatus to lock a steering wheel of steer by wire system comprises a locker(12) is locked or released with a steering column(2); a magnetic means is released to lock of the steering column and locker and pulling locker with the magnetic force; and an elastic means giving the elastic force to locker. The magnetic means comprises generation or the electromagnet(14) released the magnetic force according to the on/OFF of starting.
