FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly to production of the anhydrous magnesium chloride from natural magnesium carbonate - magnesite. The anhydrous magnesium chloride is prepared by bubbling of the magnesium chloride melt with chlorine-containing gaseous agent at the melt temperature in the range 725-800C. The chlorine-containing gaseous agent is gaseous mixture obtained at interreaction of magnesium-containing material with aerified organochlorine waste consisting of polychlorinated biphenyls C12H10-nCln, wherein n is in the range from 1 to 10, in the stream of plasma-supporting gas with following admission of obtained gaseous agent to the magnesium chloride melt. Magnesium-containing material is MgCO3. The mixture of MgCO3 and C12H10-nCln is fed to the stream of plasma-supporting gas, the temperature of plasma-supporting gas is maintained equal 8000C. The waste gases obtained at the bubbling of the melt with chlorine-containing gaseous agent after dedusting are used for heat and electricity generation. ^ EFFECT: claimed method allows to simplify the technology, to reduce the product cost and to recover the toxic waste materials. ^ 1 ex |
