PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the detection accuracy of the face of a person high in frequency to be subject, without burdening the user with a load. SOLUTION: The control part 4 of a digital camera detects face regions from a first image and a second image with a face detector 42, and when the region of the first image at a position corresponding to the face region detected from the second image is not detected as a face region, extracts the region of the first image as an undetected region, and performs learning of the face detector so that the undetected region is detected as face region, based on the undetected region extracted.
