PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharging method of scrap for stably discharging the scrap by stabilizing an attitude thereof during a fall, and a pressing device. SOLUTION: A pressing device consisting of an upper die and lower die discharges the cross-sectionally-L-shaped scrap S2 cut off from a work by machining and naturally fallen along a chute 75 which is provided in the lower die and keeps an upper surface open as an introduction hole 71 and is inclined downward while introducing the scrap S2 to the upper surface of the chute through the introduction hole, wherein a support rod 81 is provided for guiding falling scrap on the chute to the introduction hole in the upper surface of the chute while adjusting the posture thereof along the discharging direction by receiving the top 100 of an L-shape being a corner of the scrap.
