PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that surely prevents a transmission operation from being interrupted by facsimile reception in a state that the user's intention to execute a facsimile-data transmission by the user himself/herself is predictable. SOLUTION: A multifunctional machine 2 closes a PSTN line 42a on a condition in which information indicating that a facsimile-data transmission is likely executed is inputted by a user (S46). The multifunctional machine 2 temporarily opens the PSTN line 42a on a condition that a facsimile transmission command is inputted by a user and closes the PSTN line 42a (S56) so as to transmit facsimile data via the PSTN line 42a according to the facsimile transmission command (S58).
