PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation used as an antimycotic drug used in an external preparation for treating tinea pedis and enhanced so as to exhibit potent antibacterial activity against all of skin-indigenous bacteria such as Candida and Staphylococcus aureus as a cause of worsening unpleasantness (itch, foul odor, etc.,) in tinea pedis. SOLUTION: The external preparation for treating tinea pedis, which enhances patient's compliance, mitigates symptoms of rubefaction, and effectively sterilizes not only Tricophyton but also skin-indigenous bacteria, comprises an anti-tricophytosis drug formulated with at least one compound selected from 1-menthol, a menthol analogue, and a bactericidal compound.
