PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately make and change various settings which are desirable by performing direct operation input to icons displayed on a screen.

SOLUTION: This imaging device includes a display unit 5 which displays at least an image, an operation input unit 3 for performing operation input, and a control unit 1 which has an icon display function 2a of displaying icons associated with settings on the display unit 5, a sub-menu display function 2b of displaying a predetermined sub-menu for selecting setting of an icon when the icon is selected through the operation input unit 3, and a main control function 2c of prompting a user to select desired setting from the sub-menu.
