PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punching/press-working method in which, even when a workpiece the one side of which has a flat-plate shape and the rear side of which, is different in thickness in the direction of punching/press-working is punched from the flat plate side, burrs or the like are not generated. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the punching/press-working method, in which the workpiece 1 the one side of which has the flat plate shape and the rear side of which is different in thickness in the punching/press-working direction is punched with the punch 2 from the direction of the flat plate while abutting a die 3 on the rear side, wherein the punch 2 is abutted on the thicker portion of the workpiece 1 in early timing.
