The invention relates to a method for evaluating the transverse adhesion of a type of tyres on a snow-covered ground, that comprises fitting a vehicle with the type of tyres, driving the vehicle up to the limit of the transverse adhesion on a snow-covered track, and generating instantaneous measures of the transverse acceleration of the vehicle when driving on the track. According to the invention, the track (P) includes several bends (V1, V2) for establishing a transverse acceleration permanent mode, the instantaneous transverse acceleration measures are submitted to a low-pass filtration, and the more the tyre provides high transverse acceleration values, the better the transverse adhesion of the tyre. |
