<p>The present invention relates to a subsea fibre-optic penetrator comprising a plurality of through-going optical fibres (1) and a metallic main body (3) with at least one through bore (31). According to the invention the optical fibres (1) are affixed in the main body (3) by cast glass material (2). The invention also relates to a method for providing a subsea penetrator with a plurality of through-going fibres.</p>
