A user terminal capable of connecting a high speed downlink packet access modem which informs a user of the connected state of the high speed downlink packet access modem is provided to inform a user about the connection state of the high speed downlink packet access aurally. A terminal connecting plug is connected to the user terminal(170). A data transmission path between the terminal and an external computing device high speed downlink packet access modem(110) is formed. A signal valve demodulator(130) performs modulation or the demodulation of the inputted signal. A power detection(140) detects the power of the received signal received from the connected communications network. A duplexer(150) separates the signals of the different base band including the transmission signal and received signal. The antenna(160) sends and receives signal between the communications network connected with the external computing device high speed downlink packet access modem.
