<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a denim fabric (vat dyed fabric) which is little discolored (changes the color), when washed. <P>SOLUTION: The method for preventing the discoloration of the denim fabric includes dyeing yarns or a fabric containing cellulose fibers, treating the dyed yarns or fabric with liquid ammonia, processing the treated yarns or fabric with a resin to cross-link the cellulose fibers, and then washing the yarns or the fabric with hot water. In the denim fabric, frictional fastness is ≥4.0 grade in a dry state (warps) and 1 to 2 grade in a wet state (warps); washing fastness is ≥4 grade in a color-faded state and 3 to 4 grade in a stained state; and the L*value of the surface color is ≤30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
