<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of a fuel cell by increasing a fuel utilization rate and an oxidant utilization rate. <P>SOLUTION: A separator 15 is interposed at a time between a fuel electrode layer 11b of the i-th power generation cell among the (n+1) pieces of power generation cells and an oxidant electrode layer 11c of the (i+1)th power generation cell. A porous fuel electrode collector 14 with conductivity and ductility is interposed between the fuel electrode layer of the i-th power generation cell and the j-th separator located between the i-th power generation cell and the (i+1)th power generation cell. A fuel groove 15a for a separator which is extended from the center of the separator and is connected with a fuel passage for a separator in a spiral shape is formed on the surface of the separator facing to the fuel electrode collector, and a part of the fuel electrode collector is stored in the fuel groove for a separator by compressing the fuel electrode collector by pushing the separator to the fuel electrode collector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
