<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional laser beam machine which has to have two kinds of equipment in performing both machining operations of blind hole machining (non-penetrated drilling) and through hole machining (penetrated drilling). <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam machining apparatus is equipped with a transfer device for transferring a workpiece, for the purpose of forming a plurality of machining regions on the workpiece, with the workpiece stretched by a tension device. On the reverse side of a surface of the workpiece which is irradiated with a laser beam, there is arranged a dust collector having a size covering the entire regions of the plurality of machining regions. Also provided are two holders that hold each side of the workpiece perpendicular to the tensile force and an adjuster that moves one of the holders perpendicular to the tensile force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
