PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment which prevents a deterioration in its communication quality. SOLUTION: In the communication equipment, when performing facsimile communication utilizing an IP network, even when a codec 104A which performs processing such as the analog/digital conversion of the voice signals can simultaneously process the plurality of voice signals, the number of the voice signals to be converted by the codec 104A is limited when the facsimile communication is performed utilizing the codec 104A.
