PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-forming vegetable harvester of simple structure, needing no unnecessary labor such as washing harvested head-forming vegetables and capable of harvesting them by surely cutting off at desired positions and of making their harvesting work efficient. SOLUTION: The head-forming vegetable harvester has the following construction. The traveling vehicle body is equipped with a guide functioning to nip the head of head-forming vegetables planted in a ridge and a cutter with a rotary cutting blade for separating the outer leaves and the head of the vegetables by cutting off the head nipped by the guide. In this harvester, the guide is composed of left and right guide rods disposed in front of the traveling vehicle body so as to be lower in the front and higher in the rear along the ridge, and, with these left and right guide rods, a narrow part is formed so as to narrow the space between them right above the top of the ridge, and the rotary cutting blade is disposed beneath behind of the narrow part and right above the ridge.
