A memory card converter for integrally or individually managing storage capacity of internal and external memories, and a data storing or reading method thereof are provided to integrally manage the individual storage capacity of the internal and external memory, and recognize a plurality of small capacity memory cards as one mass memory. A connector(210) exchanges data between a memory card converter(200) and a host drive by using a USB(Universal Serial Bus) mode. An internal memory(220) is more than one flash or fusion memory. A slot unit(250) includes a plurality of slots capable of attaching a plurality of external memory cards at the same time. A converter(240) switches a mode for transmitting the data between the connector and the slot unit. A controller(230) enables a main device connecting to the memory card converter to integrally or individually recognize individual storage capacity of the internal memory and the external memory card inserted into the slot unit.
