PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology of electronic equipment for improving reliability on judgment of battery run-down. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus (electronic equipment) can detect a remaining amount and an output level (output voltage, for example) of a battery used as a power supply and judges it to be battery run-down when the output level of the battery is lower than a judgment level which is set as a threshold. In the judgment level, a judgment levelβ1 is set when the remaining amount of the battery is under the thresholdα, and a judgment levelβ2 lower than the judgment levelβ1 is set when the remaining amount of the battery is not less than the thresholdα. When the number of photographing sheets Np is smaller than that of sheets that can be photographed by the battery (maximum number of photographing sheets) Nmax, erroneous judgment on battery run-down is prevented even if the output level of the battery is temporarily dropped like an arrow Lw by flash light emission, and reliability on judgment of battery run-down can be improved.
