PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic mold which can perform mold opening by simple constitution without deforming or crushing minute irregularity formed on a design surface of a resin molded article. SOLUTION: The metallic mold for molding the resin molded article F having minute irregularity on the design surface Fa includes a first metallic mold M1 for molding the design surface Fa of the resin molded article F and a second metallic mold M2 for molding a rear flank Fb of the resin molded article F, wherein a restraining part forming region J, which forms a restraining part K at the rear flank Fb of the resin molded article F and restrains the restraining part K, is provided at the second metallic mold M2. The restraining part forming region J is formed so as to extend in a direction perpendicular to a contraction direction D of the resin molded article F at the time of solidifying.
