A fuel cell system easily and reliably prevents the system's surroundings from becoming wet. The fuel cell system includes a casing which accommodates a cell stack; pipes arranged to guide exhaust containing water and water vapor from a cathode outlet in the cell stack to an outside; and a holder unit attached to the casing. The holder unit includes a housing member and an absorption member housed in the housing member. The exhaust gas which contains water and water vapor from the cathode outlet in the cell stack flows through the pipes, and is discharged from another pipe, and is blown to the absorption member housed in the housing member, and the water contained in the exhaust gas is absorbed by the absorption member.
