PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showcase with a lighting apparatus capable of effectively achieving a shelf illumination, expanding a display space on the shelf, and simplifying the maintenance workability. SOLUTION: This showcase 1 is formed by displaying articles on a shelf device 4 raised inside a display chamber 11, is provided with an LED lighting device 41 with LED devices 44, the self board 23 of the shelf device 4 is formed of a translucent plate material, and the light from the LED lighting device 41 enters from the rear end face 23A of the shelf board to the inside of the shelf board 23.
