<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery which is superior in cycle characteristics at high temperature, while its positive electrode active material is lithium manganate of a spinel structure. <P>SOLUTION: This is a lithium secondary battery of which the positive electrode active material is lithium manganate having a spinel structure. The concentration of sodium in the lithium manganate is 50-5000 ppm.
