<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developer capable of sufficiently charging toner of the developer even when used in a high-speed image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The two-component developer is used in a developing device in which a developer comprising magnetic toner and magnetic carrier in a developer holding part is conveyed on a developing sleeve with an internal magnetic field generating means while rotating the developing sleeve and magnetic toner in a magnetic toner holding part is brought in the developer holding part according to the volume of the developer in the developer holding part, wherein the magnetic carrier is a resin coated carrier comprising at least a magnetic core material and a resin, has a resin content of 5-25 mass%, an apparent density of 1.2-2.3 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and an average particle diameter of 25-55 μm, and includes 0.01-12 vol.% of particles of ≤21 μm and ≤1.0 vol.% of particles of ≥72 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
