The control method involves defining the magnitude of the voltage pointer at least from a reference frequency in accordance with a voltage/frequency characteristic and deriving the angle of the pointer from the reference frequency using an essentially linear operation, especially by integrating with respect to time or by a similar method. The angle of the voltage pointer is corrected by a addend that can be selected as a function, especially a non-linear function, of the reference frequency. An Independent claim is also included for a control arrangement for a inverter.
