SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING A MOBILE PHONE LOST IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A system for managing a lost phone in a mobile communication network and a method therefor are provided to outputs an announcement which informs that the currently used phone is a lost phone as controlling the communication of the lost terminal. In case the other user uses a lost phone(300), an HLR(108) determines whether the mobile terminal is a lost phone registered in a lost phone server(110)(S50). If so, the HLR makes the call originated from the mobile terminal received to the lost phone server(S52). The lost phone server makes a preset ARS message outputted on the mobile terminal through a VMS(114)(S54). Accordingly, a speech path is established between the mobile terminal and a customer center(116). The customer center informs the other user that the used phone is a lost phone and requests the other user to return the mobile phone to the original user(S56).
