An apparatus for producing thread-stitched book blocks from a stack of printed sheets lined up flush with one another is provided to remove known disadvantage in an integrated blow rail, to reduce manufacture, maintenance and repair cost. An apparatus for producing thread-stitched book blocks from a stack of printed sheets lined up flush with one another contains a binding unit. A ground(12) of printed sheets is passed from an outer side in order to form a stitch and progresses along an inner side edge of the ground. The printed sheets are combined with a binder yarn forming a joint part. The binding unit contains a first booklet needle(4) penetrating the ground of signature from outside to inside and a second booklet needle(5) outward pulling the binder yarn. The binder yarn is delivered to the second booklet needle by the first booklet needle.
