A multicasting procedure in a wireless mesh network is provided to prevent the network congestion although a multicast service for high-capacity multimedia data is offered. A multicasting procedure in a wireless mesh network comprises the following steps. A multicast data frame determines whether it is included in multicast group information in which the multicast address of the final destination field is registered or not(S11). If an address coinciding with the multicast group information does not exist, an MP/MAP terminates the multicasting procedure after stopping multicasting received data frames. And if an address coinciding with the multicast group information exists, the MP multicasts the received data frames again(S12). |
