<p>An apparatus for solidifying iron scrap and forming a lump is provided to allow the lump to replace pig iron that is used as a raw material in the steelmaking process by collecting iron scrap generated from general machining processes of a lathe, a milling and others and by forming the collected iron scrap in the form of the lump. An apparatus for solidifying iron scrap and forming a lump can form the heat-treated chip scrap in the form of a lump(21) by performing the steps of storing iron scrap in a supply hopper(23), injecting chip scrap discharged through the supply hopper into a moving transfer car(24) moving along rails(25), moving the moving transfer car into a heating furnace(11) to heat-treat the chip scrap, moving the heat-treated chip scrap by the moving transfer car to drop the heat-treated chip scrap into a body(10), compressing and pressurizing the heat-treated chip scrap by a plate(15) coupled to a plurality of cylinder rods formed on the body. The apparatus further comprises a plurality of gas nozzles(12) which are formed on the bottom part within the heating furnace to exhaust gas supplied through a gas supply pipe(13) to the outside, and which generates a flame to maintain a high temperature within the heating furnace and heat-treat the iron scrap stored in the moving transfer car.</p> |
