The invention concerns metal working and can be used for manufacturing of steel fiber from the wire. A method of manufacturing the fiber from the wire includes shaped bending, deformation and cutting of wires, which are performed by shaping pair of rollers, which synchronously rotate in opposite directions and have on working surface profile regions, in which cutting inserts are located. In the case the rollers during rotation simultaneously form the set profile and the wire is cut into measured lengths. In accordance with the invention, the supply of wire in the working area for bending, deformation and cuttings is performed by pairs of rollers, which are adjusted and rotate in opposite directions. In the case the profile regions of rollers are made by electrochemical processing. Furthermore, bending, deformation and cutting for intended size of one or group of wires are ensured by different shape of the profile regions of upper and lower of shaping pair rollers during their rotation. The invention provides for simultaneous bending, deformation and cutting of wire for producing the fiber with high accuracy and output, and also high wear resistance of shaping rollers. |
