PURPOSE: Leather for traditional musical instruments, and a producing method thereof are provided to offer the softness and the high elasticity of the leather without using chemicals. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of leather for traditional musical instruments comprises the following steps: removing hair and foreign materials from the leather; tightly pulling the leather, and drying the leather in the ventilated space without direct sunlight; soaking the dried leather in water, and cutting the water-soaked leather; passing the leather through a pressing roller, and firstly tanning the leather using a fixing device; closely attaching the leather to a metal ring, and sewing the leather; and secondly tanning the leather, and coating the outer surface of the lather with oil. |
