A multi-dimensional relay system using microwaves in a wireless network and an operation method thereof are provided to expand the service coverage of a base station by enabling a DU(Donor Unit) interworking with the base station to transmit the microwaves a plurality of RUs(Remote Units) installed in a shadow region through an M/W antenna. A DU(Donor Unit) receives RF signals from a base station(S310), converts the amplified RF signals into microwave signals which have high directivity by a short wavelength(S320), and then outputs the converted signals to a plurality of RUs(Remote Units)(S330). The RUs installed in a shadow area receive the outputted microwave signals(S340), convert the received microwave signals into RF signals(S350), and then output the amplified RF signals to a part of the shadow region or the whole(S360).
