A circuit breaker is provided to prevent a moving contact point from being damaged by preventing only one moving contact point from contacting a fixing contact point. A circuit breaker includes a pair of fixing contact points. The mover includes a pair of arms to face each other. The pair of moving contact points are fixed to the end part of an arm. A mover support supports the mover to rotate around an axis between the pair of arms. A holder supports the mover support. An opening and closing device(30) opens and closes the mover. A stopper suppresses the rotation of the mover before the contact between the fixing contact point and the moving contact point. The stopper allows the rotation of the mover after the contact between the fixing contact point and the moving contact point. The mover protective cover is mounted on the mover. A convex part is formed in the mover protective cover as the stopper. The convex part is contacted with the holder surface when the moving contact point is opened from the fixing contact point.
