A broadcasting receiver and a broadcasting signal processing method are provided to perform additional coding for mobile service data, thereby improving reception ability of a reception system. A receiver receives a broadcasting signal including mobile service data and main service data. The mobile service data configures a data group. The data group is classified into a plurality of domains. A base data row is linearly inserted into a partial domain of the plural domains. A transmission parameter is inserted between a first base data row and a second base data row among N base data rows. A transmission parameter detector detects the transmission parameter. A block decoder symbol-decodes mobile service data within the received broadcast signal in a block unit based on the detected transmission parameter. A decoder(6004) extracts audio data and additional information from the symbol-decoded mobile service data. The decoder de-quantizes the audio data. The decoder restores an audio signal by converting the de-quantized audio data into a signal of a time domain according to each block.
