In a power working machine where trimming blades are provided on a front portion of a machine body (11;111) and the output power of a drive source (12;112) is adjustable by a throttle lever (36;136), an operating handle (15;115), rotatably mounted on a shaft section extending from the machine body includes: a lock mechanism (82;182) for locking the operating handle at a desired rotational position relative to the machine body; a lock cancellation lever (81;181) for unlocking the lock mechanism to thereby permit rotational movement of the operating handle; and a stopper section (41;141) provided at a position spaced apart from the throttle lever that permits operation of the lock mechanism while the pivotal movement of the throttle lever is inhibited, but inhibits operation of the lock mechanism while the pivotal movement of the throttle lever is permitted.
