<p>The device has a controlling system (25) with an output stage, and an external control device (30) for switching off an electrical machine, when the external control device detects errors relevant for controlling of the electrical machine. A separate switching line (34) is provided for fast transmission of a switching signal of the external control device, where the switching line connects the external control device with the controlling system of the electrical machine.
