PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING SACCHARIDES AND BIO-ETHANOL FROM RED ALGAE

摘要

A method for producing saccharides and bio-ethanol by using red algae is provided to obtain saccharides and bio-ethanol economically and efficiently by using red algae which has low lignin content and performs saccharification easily. A method for producing saccharides and bio-ethanol by using red algae comprises a step for bleaching the red algae as a carbohydrate source; and a step for saccharifying the bleached red algae. The red algae is Gelidium seaweeds.
