A control apparatus for wind quantity of a vertical wind power generation system is provided to improve performance as the amount of wind entering increases. A control apparatus for wind quantity of vertical wind power generation system comprises a center shaft fixed to the ground surface; a support member assembled onto the center shaft; a turbine having a plurality of blades which is installed in the supporting member to rotate; an inlet guide vane drawing in wind into the turbine; a side and rear guide vane(15) blocking wind drawn from the side and rear surface of the turbine; a rail(110) supporting the lower part of the inlet guide vane, and the side and rear surface vane; a chain(120) which the lower surface of rail is combined along the lower surface of rail in order to rotate the rail; a wind adjusting part(130) adjusting volume of wind entering the turbine; and a control part(140) controlling the wind adjusting part according to the change of wind after detection of wind direction.
