Intended is to provide a bulb, which adopts a flat coil in a filament, which prevents a relay portion reliably from coming out from an internal lead wire and which can suppress an accidental light emission in the relay portion. The bulb comprises a filament body (61) including a single-filament coil wound in a cylindrical shape of a flat transverse section and having relay portions (60B2) on the two sides of a central portion having a filament wire wound at a substantially equal pitch and across an expanded portion (60E2) made wider than the equal pitch, and an internal lead wire (54) for supporting the relay portions (60B2). The internallead wire (54), which is introduced from the ends of the relay portions (60B2) into the single-filament coil, is lead out from the expanded portion (60E2) to the outside of the single-filament coil. The leading-out portion (54A) is folded to the end sides of the relay portions (60B2) with reference to the position of contact with a final winding (60T1) of the relay portions (60B2) on the side of the expanded portion (60E2).
