The device (10) has a drive motor e.g. servo motor, and a control gear (26), which includes two switching stages, for driving an eccentric shaft (11). Rotational speed of the drive motor is changed during rotation of the shaft, where the gear is switched at a downtime. The gear includes two gear wheel pairs with gear wheels that are connected with each other in a torque-proof manner. The gear wheels are held at a sliding sleeve (41), which is supported torque-proofly and axially displaceable at a gear shaft (36). The sleeve is mechanically movable to and fro between two switching positions.
